Work Permit
A foreign national requires a work permit to work in Canada except certain situations when one is exempt from getting one. To be eligible for a work permit, an applicant must meet following conditions:
Intention to leave
You must satisfy the officer, that you would leave the country, when your work permit expires.
Proof of Funds
The applicant must show enough funds to support themselves as well as their family during their stay unless they are exempt from this requirement
Criminal Check
The applicant must not have any criminal record and is required to obtain a police clearance certificate from their country of nationality.
Medical Exam
You must be in good health and may require a medical exam
Employer
you must not plan to work for an employer; who is listed as ineligible on the list of employers who failed to comply with the conditions and an employer who, on a regular basis, offers striptease, erotic dance, escort services or erotic massages.
Documents
You must be ready to provide any additional documents requested by the officer to enter the country
