Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP)

The Northwest Territories Program helps strengthen the Northwest Territory economy by attracting qualified individuals to fill critical labour shortages and promote business development. The Northwest Territories Nominee Program can assist employers in recruiting and retaining foreign workers and can help foreign workers and their families make the Northwest Territory their permanent home. Applicants can be nominated for permanent residency under the Employer Driven Streams, which include:

 

This stream is intended to assist employers with critical labour shortages that cannot be filled by local or Canadian residents. This category is designed to increase the labour pool for entry-level jobs described within the National Occupational Classification skill levels C and D.

 
 

This stream is designed to attract qualified individuals that will assist with shortages of skilled workers in the Northwest Territories. This stream is for skilled occupations for which formal education and/or specialized training is required. These occupations are within the National Occupational Classification, Skill Levels 0, A, and B.

 
 

The Northwest Territories’ Express Entry stream is for foreign nationals who have been accepted into the Citizenship and Immigration Canada/ Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Express Entry Pool.
