Alberta Immigration Nominee Program

The Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) currently included three streams, and offers options for both skilled and semi-skilled workers, with sub-categories, including:

This category allows individuals to apply for Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) who meet the minimum eligibility requirements and are working in Alberta in an eligible occupation.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream allows Alberta to nominate a limited number of qualified candidates from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Express Entry system. Candidates who have demonstrated strong ties to Alberta or who can help support the government’s economic development and diversification priorities may be asked to submit an application. International graduates from Canadian post-secondary institutions may also be asked to submit an application under this stream.

The AINP implemented the Self-Employed Farmer Stream to allow immigrants interested in investing $500,000 in an agricultural business, which they have knowledge, experience and financial ability to own and operate. To be successful in the Self-Employed Farmer Stream, applicants should have a well-developed business plan, farm management experience and the requisite financial assets to establish and develop an agricultural business.
